HTech is all set to launch the Honor 200 5G series in India soon after the Chinese debut. CEO Madhav Sheth and Joint MD CP Khandelwal teased hints of the launch on X (formerly called Twitter). Sheth posted a silhouette-like image teasing the camera module of one of the devices. The handsets are said to offer AI capabilities. Building on this, Khandelwal teased "on-device AI" for the series.

The devices will offer multimodal text and image generation capabilities, according to the video posted by the Honor executive. The video also has references to Copilot, GPT, Dall-E, Gemini, Imagen 2 and Llama 2. However, it is unclear if the devices will offer these products or a competitive alternative to these.

For the unaware, the company has already unveiled the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro in China. These devices could debut in India too.

Honor 200 could offer a 6.7-inch FHD+ curved OLED 120Hz screen with up to 4,000 nits peak brightness, Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14, 5,200mAh battery with 100W charging support, 50MP OIS main + 12MP ultrawide + 50MP portrait camera on the back and a 50MP selfie shooter.

Honor 200 Pro may sport a 6.78-inch FHD+ curved OLED 120Hz screen with up to 4,000nits peak brightness, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14, 5,200mAh battery with 100W wired and 66W wireless charging support, 50MP OIS main + 12MP ultrawide + 50MP portrait camera on the back and a 50MP selfie shooter.

Honor 200, Honor 200 Pro Price (Expected)

The Honor 200 is available at a starting price of Rs 2,699 Yuan (roughly Rs 31,000) and the Honor 200 Pro starts from 3,499 Yuan (about Rs 40,200) in China. Considering the duties and taxes, we can expect the devices to sit in the sub-Rs 40,000-50,000 price bracket in India.
