Xiaomi HyperOS, which replaced the decade-old MIUI OS on smartphones is said to be more enhanced, intelligent and safer. The company has already announced that the new software OS will make its debut with the Xiaomi 14 series and will be made available to other devices including the Redmi Note 13 series and more. According to the reports, the update will be around 8.75GB much lighter than the MIUI and will bring along a complete revamp.

Here’s a list of changes that will tag along with the HyperOS update.

1. The new operating system brings along a slew of new add-ons including performance, AI features, connectivity and more. Not only that, but it also brings better performance with better background memory retention and a smoother interface. Since the world is moving forward with AI, users will get AI-centric features like AI-generated text, language image search and more.

Another significant improvement is the enhanced connectivity, which allows data sharing, receiving notifications on a larger screen, and other features. Xiaomi has also prioritised security by opening up the platform to third-party developers and prioritising encryption, permission management, and security standards.

2. The HyperOS is more user-friendly, functional and organised compared to the MIUI. It gets a lot of new features making the day-to-day tasks easier for the devices and ensures management quite easily. Users can get seamless device switching, and remote access to data and apps, and leverages AI for features like speech generation, image search, and artwork creation.

3. For a change, the new HyperOS is based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) which means it is not completely based on Google's Android services and can be customised as per the company’s requirements.

HyperOS Rollout Details:

The HyperOS will be available for upgrade for a variety of smartphones, tablets and other products. The official rollout, as per the reports, is scheduled for December 2023.

HyperOS Rollout Eligible Devices:

The update will be available for a variety of devices including the Redmi K60 Ultra phone, and other Xiaomi and Redmi devices. Even the upcoming Redmi Note 13 Pro is said to be available with this new update.
