Xiaomi, a popular technology company which has been introducing a lot of new devices, has now announced that it will be replacing the MIUI OS which is based on Android with HyperOS. This came after the rumours about Xiaomi changing the OS floated online. Not only that, you can also expect that HyperOS will make its debut with the Xiaomi 14 series.
Taking to a post on X (formerly Twitter), Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, announced that it would be a historic moment for the company. He wrote, “Today marks a historic moment. After years of collective work, our new operating system, Xiaomi HyperOS, is set to make its official debut on Xiaomi 14 Series.”

However, the new HyperOS availability still remains under wraps and it is unclear if it will be available for users globally or if it will be limited to the devices in China. According to the reports, Xiaomi could limit the HyperOS for hometown users and may continue the MIUI in other parts of the globe.
On asking about the global availability, Jun said “Stay Tuned” with a smiling emoji. It seems that it was a heads-up for global availability and the discontinuing MIUI. However, these are just speculations and it is believed that the company will replace the UI in a phased manner.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 14 is said to make its debut after the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset announcement at the Snapdragon Summit 2023. However, it is said that the smartphone will debut by the end of this year and will make its global debut after that. The smartphone, as per the reports, may get a 6.7-inch screen 1.5K panel with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and 50MP primary + 50MP telephoto and an ultra-wide lens along with a massive 4,800 mAh battery and a fast charging support of 90W.
