Rumours around the new MIUI 15 have been on the scene for a while now. Considering Google has released Android 14, it is highly likely that Xiaomi may announce the successor to the MIUI 14 ROM soon. There are speculations that the company may introduce the new OS known as MiOS and scrap MIUI 15 altogether. However, a fresh report from Xiaomiui said that these claims are false.
According to the report, the Chinese smartphone maker is testing its MIUI 15 software currently, which will likely arrive alongside the Xiaomi 14 series phones. While the switch to MiOS is unlikely, even if this happens, it may be limited to China and not debut globally, the platform added.
The possibility of a release in a standalone form, like Huawei's HarmonyOS, cannot be refuted. It may launch as an Android-based OS for select Mi phones in the company's home market. However, a reader must note that these are wild speculations. At the moment, the brand is focusing towards optimising MIUI 15 for users, Xiaomiui added.

For context, noted tipster Digital Chat Station recently claimed that the company may mark a full stop on the current ROM with MIUI 14. And soon after the update, reports hailed speculation about the bright future of MiOS. While it might come as a disappointment for those interested in MiOS, Xiaomiui added that the company is testing MIUI 15 for its wide range of smartphones.
The platform included information from Xiaomi servers, which had references to MIUI 15. It is reportedly undergoing testing on Xiaomi 13, 13 Ultra, Redmi K60 Pro, premium foldable MIX Fold 3 and other devices. The report noted that MIUI 15 could launch by the end of this month. For a quick background, the ROM has been on the tech scene for more than 13 years. According to a 91Mobiles report, MIUI enjoys more than 564 million users globally.
