After a long busy day, one thing that a person likes to do is to just throw their bags away and lie down and stretch their legs on the bed for some comfortable quiet time, and I believe a good mattress can make a big difference for your after-work hours. While most mattresses today still rely on and sell foam layers, coir, or spring counts. But here we are going to discuss a mattress that changes the game all together.
Duroflex's Airboost mattresses are here, and this product focuses on some very core issues. What stood out to me with Duroflex’s Airboost was that it tries to focus on what actually matters, that is, how you sleep over time.

Initial Changes Through Routine
I used the Airboost mattress for a few weeks and paid attention to changes rather than forming an opinion in the first couple of nights. Initially, nothing felt dramatically different, but after a few days, small patterns started showing up.

What sets this specific product apart is the fact that the mattress uses an air matrix structure with over one lakh micro support fibres. Along with that, it's built around a 5-zone support system, which you can actually feel once you spend some time on it. The layering is designed in a way that different parts of your body get different levels of resistance, slightly softer under the shoulders and hips, where pressure tends to build, and firmer through the centre to keep the spine aligned. Now how does this come into play when you are actually going for that sleep? Well, you no longer need to constantly readjust. Your body settles in faster and stays in a more neutral position through the night. Over time, this translated into better lower back support and fewer interruptions while taking that deep sleep.
Firm And Steady
This is not a plush, sink-in mattress. It’s on the firmer side. Not hard, but clearly built for support rather than that cushy feel. If you’re used to softer beds, there’s a short adjustment period. Breathability is another area where it stands out. The open structure allows airflow through the mattress, which helps reduce heat build-up. Over longer nights, especially in warmer conditions, this makes a noticeable difference.

How Does It Actually Perform When Tracked?
In order to get a complete picture of how the mattress actually performs, I tried to make things more objective. I tracked my sleep using the Oura Ring. Instead of just looking at total sleep time, I focused on sleep stages, light sleep, REM, and deep sleep, also known as N3 sleep.
N3, or deep sleep, is the stage where physical recovery happens, muscle repair, lower heart rate, and overall restoration occur. It’s also the stage most easily disrupted by discomfort, movement, or overheating.

Over two weeks, I started noticing a pattern. My deep sleep duration saw a gradual uptick, not dramatically every night, but consistently across the week. There were a few nights where the Oura ring flagged higher recovery scores and better sleep balance, particularly with slightly longer deep sleep phases and fewer disturbances.

What stood out was that these better nights often aligned with feeling physically more settled, less tossing around, and fewer micro wake-ups. That ties back to what the mattress is trying to do: reduce pressure points, make movement easier, and maintain a more stable sleep surface. Week on week, the changes were subtle but consistent: fewer interruptions, slightly improved deep sleep, and more mornings where I felt properly rested.
A Few Trade-Offs
Now the mattress scores a lot of good points when it comes to sleep quality, form factor and the technology that it uses, but there are a couple of practical downsides as well. Now one thing that you must note is that the mattress is heavy, properly heavy. Moving it around or even setting it up isn’t easy, and you’ll almost certainly need help to get the task done. As far as pricing is concerned, that is also on the higher side, clearly positioned as a premium product, which makes it a considered purchase rather than an easy upgrade.
Verdict
With the use of this mattress, after a few weeks, what stays with you is not a dramatic “wow” moment, but the consistency. Your sleep is a bit better, you recover a bit more, and over time this builds up and that starts to show up in how you feel during the day.

All in all the mattress is firm, breathable and properly structured around proper support. The sleep quality does improve gradually, and changes can be felt, especially in deeper sleep stages. Moving the mattress around is a pain point, and even the pricing is higher than what people usually go for, so it's not cheap. But if you are someone who tracks their sleep and cares about recovery, this mattress starts to make sense.
