Instagram Threads, the rival micro-blogging platform of Elon Musk’s X, is reportedly testing the ‘Save Posts’ option on the application. This feature will work much like Instagram, where users can bookmark and save the posts they like and then see them later by going to the saved option. However, the company did not reveal specific information about the upcoming feature.

Instagram head Adam Mosseri revealed the function on Wednesday in a Threads post, adding that the firm had only recently begun the limited test. "The feature that users have been requesting the most—the ability to save postings on Threads—is now in a limited test. Just like you can on Instagram, bookmark your favourite posts and come back to them at a later time," Mosseri stated.

Users who have taken the test can access the new save function by clicking the three dots in the top-right corner of a post. Additionally, he invited users to recommend other features they would want to see added to Threads. "What other features would you like to see on Threads?" Written by Mosseri.

According to the company, Threads has surpassed 130 million monthly active users, an increase of 30 million from the previous quarter. "Growing steadily" is how Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg described Threads on the company's fourth-quarter earnings call. In the first five days of its inception in July of last year, Threads reached 100 million registered users, setting a new record. But eventually, the interest waned.

"I should note that the number of active users on Threads today surpasses the number during the peak of its original debut. So, I think that one is going to be quite successful," he told analysts.
