Meta, a popular social media giant which owns Facebook and other platforms, is improving user privacy management by introducing a new tool that allows Instagram users to prevent data collecting across several applications and websites. With this move, the company aims to offer the users more control over data with more information about how the platform works and shares the information.

Initially only available on Facebook, the function, known as "Activity Off-Meta Technologies," is now also accessible on Instagram. Through the Accounts Centre of the platform, users can access this service. Now the users will have the power to manage and keep track of the data supplied with Meta by outside companies thanks to Activity Off-Meta Technologies. They can check which companies are sharing their data, unplug particular ones, or delete all of the information gathered, finally personalising their data-sharing options to suit their needs.

To further improve user experience, Meta has added a number of new features to the Accounts Centre. Users may now more easily share and preserve priceless experiences by transferring their Instagram photographs and videos to other platforms. Building on the already-existing "Transfer Your Information" capabilities, this feature expansion.

The "Download Your Information" and "Access Your Information" features have also been centralised by Meta in the Accounts Centre. Users now have the option to download data concurrently from their Facebook and Instagram accounts, streamlining the data retrieval procedure for more convenience.

Users may easily access these new privacy and data management tools by going to the Accounts Centre through the Settings menu on Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger. Users now have greater transparency and control over their personal information across the company's platforms as the growing concerns of the authorities including the European Union.
