Enhancements For Transcripts: In the latest blog post, the company introduced "auto-generated and time-synced" transcripts to even more creators and shows to let users read as they hear. Plus, transcripts are now more accessible both visually and textually. A user can scroll down from the Now Playing View during the listening process to find the live transcript.
Users can tap on the card to tune into live listening for the episode. These transcripts will be available for "millions of episodes in the coming weeks" and options to add media shall arrive in the future. According to Spotify, the goal is "to bring more depth to the podcasts you're listening to."
Podcast Chapters: Announced at Stream On to let listeners tune into episodes at a specific section, users on mobile can now find the complete list of chapters once they scroll down from the Now Playing View. This will help listeners gain extra control over their podcast sessions and extra details about the podcast they have tuned into.
Improved Podcast Show Pages: Users can learn more (through added content) about a podcast before they tune in to it because of the improved Show Place. Rolling out in the coming weeks, users can tap on "About" to explore image descriptions and recommendations from creators. Secondly, similar content will be available in the 'More Like This' tab.
