With this update, we can expect features like on-screen awareness, in-app actions, and an amped-up personalization experience, most of which will run on Apple Intelligence. This update promises to make Siri even more personalized and it will be able to adapt to user preferences. It will leverage your personal data to give a more personalized and relevant response.

The on-screen awareness feature is definitely the highlight this time. This will be a major upgrade, with this Siri will be able to understand what's on your screen and react accordingly. For instance, if a friend shares their address with you in a message, you can just say, “Add this address to their contact,” and Siri will automatically do it without needing any additional information.

The next thing to look out for is in-app actions. This will be utilized by Siri through  Apple's new App Intents platform. This will enable it to perform tasks across multiple apps without even opening them. Users can now just ask Siri to find a particular photo, edit it, and save it in any folder they choose, with just voice prompts which will eliminate the need to open any apps.

On top of that, there are other features as well that will be available with iOS 18.4 apart from the upgraded Siri.

Priority Notifications: Apple’s new intelligence system will now prioritize important notifications at the top.

Image Playground Enhancements: Expect new styles like "Sketch" for more creative options.

Expanded Language Support: Apple has announced that its AI-powered features will soon support additional languages, including French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and localized English for India and Singapore. Stay tuned, as iOS 18.4 is set for a global lauch very soon.
