iPhone 17 Air Update: This is just the third month of the year and Apple has already come out with several launches including the new iPad and the MacBook Air M4, and now all eyes are on the magnum opus the iPhone 17 series. This time it is expected that Apple might replace the Plus variant with a new thinner Air variant in the anticipated iPhone 17 series. Again we need to be careful as there is no official confirmation from the tech giant but we can expect it to be the thinnest iPhone yet. The device will sport a much more thinner look and will be more light while keeping other capabilities of the phone intact and in line with the other series 17 models.
Design expectations
The device is expected to measure between 5.5mm and 6.25mm in thickness. For context, the iPhone 16 Pro has an 8.25mm profile. Its slim design may result in the omission of key features like a larger battery and a dual-camera setup.

What Specs Can We Expect?
This iPhone can be expected with a 6.6-inch ProMotion OLED panel which would support a 120Hz refresh rate. We might just see the A19 chip showcase itself in the latest models which could be paired with 8GB RAM, this move could likely be to support the Apple Intelligence suite. We can also expect the company to use the in-house C1-Modem this time for better power efficiency.
Speaking of the camera the device might come with a 48MP primary shooter with 2x optical zoom for those detailed shots, we have no confirmation on anything yet but the device might not come with the ultrawide sensor.

The iPhone 17 Air is anticipated to debut alongside the iPhone 17 series in September. Reports suggest Apple may unveil the new iPhones between September 11 and 13.

For the base variant the iPhone 17 Air is expected to be priced at around Rs 89,900 which would come with a 128GB storage option. But again this information is not official and is sourced through leaks so readers are advised to tread lightly.
