iPhone 17 Series Leaks: While we are months away from the launch of the iPhone 16 series, a new rumour has tipped the camera details of the iPhone 17 series and later models. In the latest post on Medium, TF International Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max may get a tetraprism lens, same as the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

According to the report, Crystal-Optech could be the primary supplier of the prisms. Plus, Kuo noted the company will continue to use glass prisms for the device in the upcoming years. As for next year, the iPhone 17 Pro Max could get an improved 48MP tetraprism camera for enhanced photo and zoom quality.

Compared to the iPhone 16 Pro's rumoured 1/3.1-inch 12MP CIS, the 17 Pro Max may get a 1/2.6-inch 48MP CIS sensor. Kuo stated this sensor could also be used on the iPhone 18 Pro in 2026. As per the leak, the camera could require a tetraprism lens with a new prism design. It could get revamped prisms to reduce the height of the camera.

As for the iPhone 19, the tetraprism lens may gain significantly improved optical zoom capabilities in 2027. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to offer a 48MP ultrawide lens. The iPhone 15 Pro currently offers a 48MP + 12MP + 12MP rear cameras. As for other upgrades, the Pro devices could get A18 chipsets.

The processor will likely support Apple Intelligence features with the iOS 18 update. The lineup could include the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
