It will be the 50th mission of PSLV that will launch RISAT-2BR1 from the First Launch Pad of Satish Shawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota. The launch is scheduled to take place at 3.25 pm IST on December 11, subject to weather conditions.
RISAT-2BR1 is a radar imaging earth satellite weighing roughly 628 kg, will be placed into an orbit of 576 at an inclination of 37 degrees.

The mission will carry nine customer satellites of USA (6), and one each from Japan, Italy and Israel as co-passengers. These international customer satellites are being launched under a commercial arrangement with NewSpace India Limited.
Earlier on November 27, ISRO had successfully injected CARTOSAT-3-- high-resolution civilian satellite-- and 13 other commercial US nano satellites via PSLV-C47.
The CARTOSAT-3 was placed in an orbit of 509 km at an inclination of 97.5 degrees to furnish images that can help in demand for large scale urban planning, rural resource and infrastructure development, coastal land use and land cover.
After the launch, India had also crossed 300 foreign satellite launch mark as ISRO injected 13 nano satellites into orbit. 12 of the US nanosatellites were named FLOCK-4P are earth observation satellites and the 13th was called MESHBED, a communication testbed satellite.
The satellites were launched by Sun Synchronous orbit from a launch pad. It was the 21st flight of India's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle in XL configuration and overall 74th launch vehicle mission from Sriharikota.
