Affordable Postpaid Plans: In recent times the major telecom service providers in India like Jio, Airtel and Vodafone Idea (Vi) have faced scrutiny. This is because these service providers had removed access to cellular data from select prepaid recharge plans which was in accordance with the mandate issued by the Telecom regulator of India TRAI. This mandate requires these major telecom players to put on offer specialised voice and SMS-only packs. Now if you are someone who is using a postpaid connection amidst the ongoing tussle and want a comparison between the packs that are most pocket-friendly, then this article is just for you.
Here we will take a look at which telecom service provider offers the best value for the buck, and help you choose the best plan for you, so let's dive in.
Airtel, Jio Or Vi: Which is the most affordable?
Airtel's Rs 499 Postpaid Plan
Airtel’s most pocket-friendly postpaid plan will cost you Rs. 449. This plan comes with unlimited local/STD and roaming voice calls, along with 100 SMS per day. It also offers 50GB of 5G data, which includes rollover, so any unused data will be carried over to the following month.
Additionally, the Rs. 449 plan comes with Airtel Thanks Rewards, which include access to Xtreme Play — Airtel's video streaming app. Xtreme Play lets you stream movies, TV shows, web series, and live sports on Android, iOS, and web.
jio's Rs.349 Postpaid Plan
The most budget-friendly plan offered by Jio will cost you Rs. 349 and will give you the best value for your money. It is an individual plan which gives you 30GB of True 5G data, after the data limit is utilised it costs Rs.10/ per GB used. On top of that you can enjoy unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS/day. This pack is also loaded with added benefits like JioCinema, JioCloud, and JioTV.
Vi's Rs 451 Plan
Known as the Vi Max 451it is the cheapest plan offered by Vi which is priced at Rs. 451. It has benefits similar to Airtel's Rs.449 plan which has unlimited voice calls and 50 GB data. Currently, Vi is yet to launch its 5G services in the country, starting with Mumbai the 5G services will probably start in March 2025. So you will be bound to 4G for the time being.
Out of these plans, Jio has the cheapest plan but it gives you less data, while Vi offers most value-added services(although you can choose only one), but you get 4G with it currently and not 5G. Meanwhile, Airtel offers a rollover in which the leftover data will be added to your next pack. So it completely depends on you which one you think is the best option for you.
