Jio Disney+ Hotstar Plan: Telecom service provider Jio was recently in the news for announcing a price hike across its diverse prepaid and postpaid plans. The company is now reorganising the benefits of existing plans and adding new plans with OTT benefits (such as Disney+ Hostar, SonyLIV and Zee5) to allow prepaid subscribers more recharge choices. The change includes the Rs 349 plan and Rs 999 plan which now offer more validity.

The Rs 349 plan now ships with 2GB of data/day for 30 days. The plan is cheaper compared to other private telcos which offer similar benefits at Rs 379. Secondly, the company's Rs 999 plan has replaced the Rs 1,199 plan and ships with more validity but less per day data. Lastly, the updates include two new OTT plans priced at Rs 949 and Rs 1,049.

Here are more details about all these plans:

Rs 349 Plan: As highlighted by Jio in its recent X (formerly called Twitter) post, the recharge plan ships with voice and data benefits of 2GB/day for one month. It is eligible for Unlimited True 5G usage.

Rs 999 Plan: The plan offers unlimited calling, 2GB/day data and 100 SMS/day for 98 days. Eligible for Unlimited True 5G, the plan ships with JioTV, JioCinema and JioCloud subscriptions.

Rs 949 Plan: This prepaid pack comes with unlimited calling, 2GB/day data and 100 SMS/day for 84 days. Apart from Unlimited True 5G, it ships with a Disney+ Hostar subscription for 90 days and JioTV, JioCinema and JioCloud benefits.

Rs 1,049 Plan: The recharge offers unlimited calling, 2GB/day data and 100 SMS/day for 84 days. It offers SonyLiv and Zee5 subscriptions via the JioTV Mobile app. Apart from Unlimited 5G data, it also offers JioCinema and JioCloud benefits.

Do note that for non-5G users, the speed will be capped at 64 kbps after the data limits. Meanwhile, the company recently introduced 5G bonus plans which include the Rs 51, Rs 101 and Rs 151 vouchers for plans with 1 or 1.5GB 4G data plans. You can read more details about the plans here.
