Jio, a leading telecom service provider, has launched the JioBook 2023 edition in India. The laptop will cater to entry-level users who crave a machine for learning and basic multitasking. The company teased the laptop on Amazon India before the launch giving us a glimpse of the specifications. Since it has finally launched, we have all the details about the new budget JioBook.

The SIM inside the laptop can be activated by raising a request on the Jio website or the Jio Store. So, if you are looking for a budget laptop for light tasks, here are the specifications and price of the newly-unveiled JioBook.

JioBook 2023 Specifications

JioBook 2023 has an 11.6-inch HD anti-glare panel with a resolution of 1366x768. The thin and light machine weighs just 990g. For immersive multimedia consumption, the laptop offers stereo speakers. Speaking of the physical appearance, it has a 'Jio' branding on the lid. The company tags the laptop as an "ultimate learning partner". Being a thin and light offering, it ships with a fan-less chassis.

Under the hood, the laptop has a 12nm MediaTek MT8788 chip for performance. It comes with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and eMMC 64GB storage which is expandable up to 256GB via an SD card. The machine runs on JioOS and has a 4000mAh battery. The company claims a battery backup of up to eight hours. For seamless connectivity, the laptop comes with 4G, Dual Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, two USB 2.0 ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and one mini-HDMI port.

On the front, the laptop sports a 2MP webcam. As for the extras, the company is offering 100GB of cloud storage for one year at no extra cost with Digiboxx and one year of Quick Heal Antivirus protection. Lastly, it ships with a standard one-year warranty.

JioBook 2023 has a starting price of Rs 16,499. The first sale of the laptop will go live on Amazon and Reliance Digital on August 5. A discount of up to Rs 1,250 will be available on Amazon. You can pre-order the JioBook now.
