Amazon Prime Day Sale: With its much-awaited Prime Day 2025 sale set to kick off in India on July 12, Amazon has unveiled a new cashback initiative called Rewards Gold, aimed at boosting savings for frequent shoppers. The sale will run through July 14 and is expected to bring massive discounts across categories. But ahead of that, Amazon is giving customers more reasons to shop with its new rewards programme.
What is Rewards Gold?
Announced via a press release, Amazon Pay Rewards Gold is a cashback programme that offers up to 5% cashback on eligible purchases. Prime members will receive 5% cashback, while non-Prime users will get 3%. However, there’s a catch — to start earning cashback, users must first complete 25 Amazon Pay transactions, which can include anything from bill payments and UPI transfers to QR scans and regular shopping.
Once qualified, cashback can be earned across a range of categories and merchants — both online and offline.
Where Can You Earn Cashback?
After unlocking Rewards Gold, users can start earning cashback in categories such as grocery, fashion, travel bookings, and food delivery. Amazon says the rewards can be used not just on its own platform but also at over 55,000 partner merchant sites, including 5,000+ physical retail stores.
Some popular apps and platforms where cashback will be available include Ola, Domino’s, Zomato, Microsoft Xbox, and JioHotstar. There are also exclusive discounts on select OnePlus products for eligible users.
Those using the Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit Card can unlock additional benefits as part of the programme.
