The India-Korea Invitational, an Esports event hosted by Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) developer KRAFTON, concluded at the Pragati Maidan, Delhi, after a three-day run. This invitational witnessed the participation of eight teams from India and Korea competing in gaming titles, including BGMI, Real Cricket and Road To Valor: Empires. The event also served as a medium for the exchange of the passion for gaming between countries and witnessed an attendance of 12,000+ people.
The three-day event was graced by several officials from the gaming landscape and other industries. Among the notable ones include Chang Jae-bok (Korean Ambassador to India), Nivruti Rai (CEO and MD of Invest India), Gurpreet Singh Sandhu (goalkeeper of Indian national football team), Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, personalities from Sports Authority of India and Indian members of parliament (MPs).
This event aimed to celebrate the thriving Esports community and recognise its growth globally. It was live-streamed on the official YouTube channel of KRAFTON INDIA ESPORTS and JioCinema in a wide range of languages: English, Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Kannada, Bengali, Mizo, Tamil, Telugu and Gujarati. The company behind BGMI, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, NEW STATE MOBILE, Road To Valor: Empires, Moonbreaker, The Callisto Protocol, ELYON and TERA has also invested more than $140 million in the Indian startup ecosystem to promote the gaming and entertainment culture.
