BGMI, also known as Battlegrounds Mobile India, has passed the Centre’s 90-day test and will continue to entertain all Indian Android and iOS users. In a media event on Thursday, Krafton India CEO Sean Hyunil Sohn said we will continue to entertain gamers in India and abide by Indian laws.
Previously, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, had announced that BGMI is under a three-month trial period due to its server issues and security and now the South Korean company has confirmed the availability.
In a conversation with Jagran English, CEO Sean Hyunil Sohn said, “We will continue to give better experience to the gamers and abide by the law”. However, he did not mention anything about the bans, issues and terms with the government to comply with the rules.
Srinjoy Das, Associate Director of Marketing at Krafton also promised that by Diwali, the company would be making some big changes to the game. He did not mention the details but hinted that the game might get a revamp, including more players, new characters and more. “A lot of exciting stuff is coming up,” he said during the interview.

He also said that the company is constantly looking at the feedback from the users on social media platforms before making any changes in terms of collaborations, new characters, in-game accessories and more.
The panel of three including CEO Sean Hyunil Sohn, Srinjoy Das and Karan Pathak has also hinted towards integration of AI within the upcoming games. Not only that, Krafton India's CEO also said that the company is planning to introduce more multiplayer games by the end of this year.
BGMI which now has over 15 crore downloads on the Google Play Store was removed from the mobile stores for 10 months over privacy data concerns and involvement of Chinese company Tencent.
