Lenskart is broadening its presence in the wearable technology segment with a fresh pair of smart glasses, co-founder, and CEO Peyush Bansal disclosed at the Snapdragon for India XR Day in New Delhi. While specifics remain to be disclosed, the device will be anchored by Snapdragon chipsets. These glasses will succeed the Lenskart Phonic, introduced earlier this year, reinforcing the firm’s drive to fuse stylish eyewear with sophisticated technology. The strategy is to position Lenskart alongside established competitors such as Ray-Ban Meta and a new wave of AI and AR-centric wearables.

Lenskart Smart Glasses: What We Know

During a fireside chat with Savi Soin, Senior VP and President of Qualcomm India, Peyush Bansal confirmed that Lenskart is collaborating with Qualcomm to develop the glasses. The key question now is whether the device will be AR-powered or a simpler AI-based smart glasses model.

Possible Snapdragon Chipsets

Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1: Likely for entry-level AR glasses.

Snapdragon AR2 Gen 1: Could be used for premium AR experiences.

Snapdragon W5 Gen 1: A possible choice for AI-based smart glasses without AR features.
