MacBook Air Launched In India: We just saw the release of Apple's new iPad Air with M3 chip only yesterday and now Apple has dropped another product that refreshes its entry-level laptop lineup the MacBook Air. This new MacBook comes embedded with the 10-core M4 chip, which we saw in iPad Pro last year in 2024. Similar to its predecessor the MacBook Air (2025) comes in 13-inch and 15-in Liquid Retina Displays and can support up to two more external displays apart from the built-in one. The device also sports 16GB RAM and also supports Apple Intelligence and runs on macOS Sequoia out-of-the-box. It can be configured with up to 2TB of SSD storage.
MacBook Air (2025) Specs and Features
The MacBook Air (2025) is available in 13-inch (2,560x1,664 pixels) and 15-inch (2,880x1,864 pixels) models, both featuring Super Retina display with a pixel density of 224ppi and a peak brightness of up to 500 nits. As per the company, these laptops support up to two external displays with a maximum resolution of 5K.

Apple has powered the MacBook Air (2025) with the latest M4 chip, which includes a 10-core CPU comprising four performance cores and four efficiency cores. It also features a 16-core Neural Engine, an up to 10-core GPU, and support for hardware-accelerated ray tracing.
You also have the option to upgrade your latest Mac with up to 32GB of RAM and 2TB of SSD storage. It also has a quad-speaker setup with Spatial Audio and an array of three mics. For connectivity, you get Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, two Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 ports, a MagSafe 3 charging port and a 3.5mm audio jack as well.

This MacBook Air also features a Touch ID button, which is used for unlocking the laptop or authenticated purchases. It features a Force Touch trackpad that supports force clicks and multi-touch gestures. Additionally, it includes a 1080p FaceTime camera with the Center Stage feature.
Apple Intelligence Inside
The MacBook Air is designed for Apple Intelligence, bringing new AI-powered features that enhance productivity and creativity. Users can explore visual expression with Image Playground, create custom emojis with Genmoji, and refine their writing with advanced tools. Siri now offers smoother transitions between voice and text commands and provides step-by-step guidance for Mac features. Additionally, ChatGPT is integrated into Siri and Writing Tools, offering quick access to AI assistance without needing an account. Privacy is a priority—IP addresses are hidden, and OpenAI doesn’t store requests. Users have full control over enabling and using ChatGPT.
12 MP Center stage Camera
The MacBook Air features a new 12MP Center Stage camera with enhanced video quality, keeping users in focus during calls. Center Stage automatically adjusts as they move, making it ideal for FaceTime or meetings. It also supports Desk View, which shows both the user and a top-down view of their desk—perfect for sharing projects or presentations.

Battery Power
For the 13-inch MacBook Air Apple has installed a 52.6Wh lithium-polymer battery that supports 70W fast charging, but there is bad news for the base variant here only has a 30W USB Type-C adapter. With a slightly larger battery, the 15-inch variant has a 66.5Wh battery. Apple has claimed that the latest MacBook Air can withstand up to 15 hours of battery life when it comes to web browsing and 18 hours of video playback time.
MacBook Air Price and Availability
The pricing for this starts at Rs 99,900 for the basic version, which holds 16 GB RAM with 256GB storage. On the other hand, the 15-inch variant starts at Rs 1,24,900 which has 16GB RAM and 256GB storage which is the base variant.
Apple's latest MacBook Air model is available for pre-order and will go on sale in India starting March 12. This time Apple has also introduced new colour options with it and it can be purchased in Sky Blue, Midnight, Silver, and Starlight options.
