MacBook Air M4: Apple has quietly discontinued the MacBook Air M2 and M3, making way for the new MacBook Air M4. With this move, the M4 model is now the most affordable MacBook available directly from Apple’s online and retail stores.

That doesn’t mean the older models have disappeared entirely—you can still find the M1, M2, and M3 versions on Amazon, Flipkart, and other third-party retailers. But if you walk into an Apple Store, the M4 is your only option.

The new MacBook Air M4 comes with more power and better value. The 13-inch base model, which includes 16GB RAM and 256GB storage, is priced at ₹99,900. However, Apple is offering a ₹10,000 discount on select bank cards, bringing the price down to ₹89,900. Students get an even better deal with an additional ₹10,000 off.

If you need more storage, upgrading to 512GB will cost ₹1,19,900, while a higher-end configuration with 24GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at ₹1,39,900. There’s also a 15-inch version, starting at ₹1,24,900. Unlike the 13-inch base model, which features an 8-core GPU, the 15-inch variant comes with a 10-core GPU for slightly better graphics performance. Both models, however, use a fanless design, meaning they operate silently but could throttle performance under heavy loads.

Pre-orders for the MacBook Air M4 are live, with official sales starting on March 12. If you’re planning to buy one, it’s best to go through the Apple Store or an authorized reseller to ensure a smooth purchasing experience.
