Social Media mogul Meta recently announced its text-based updates sharing app Threads as a direct rival to Elon Musk's X, formerly called Twitter. In an attempt to boost its user base, the company tied its login and posts activity with Instagram and Facebook. In the upcoming weeks, the company could break some links with its other popular offerings, including inter-platform post appearances.
Reliable leaker Alessandro Paluzzi shared a screengrab of the feature on X. It seems Threads may soon get a feature to limit posts to one platform and not suggest them on other Meta apps. This option will be helpful for users not interested in sharing their posts activity in the feeds of people on Facebook and Instagram.
"#Threads is working on 'suggesting posts on other apps' privacy setting," @alex193a posted. In the current scheme, Threads posts appear on other Meta apps for public profiles. "If your profile is public, your posts may be suggested on other apps so people can discover and follow you," according to the feature description.

The two toggles to limit posts from appearing on Instagram and Facebook may be there for a Threads profile. You can choose to toggle off both or select one of them depending on your requirements. This change comes after user feedback on Threads to restrict the accessibility of posts on other platforms, according to The Verge.
"We've launched an update to make it easier for people to see the latest content from Threads directly on Facebook and Instagram. But we're listening to feedback like yours as we continue to build on this," the text-based updates app posted. Despite dwindling numbers, the Mark Zuckerberg-led company is adding features at lighting speeds to market the platform as a potential X counterpart. On a related note, the company also announced features to add polls and GIFs in a post. You can read more on this here.
