Meta Threads has been growing steadily since it made its debut in the global markets. The new micro-blogging platform and rival of Elon Musk’s X is now getting yet another feature. According to the reports, Meta has started testing the cross-posting feature which will allow the users to post their Facebook post to Threads directly.
Users have been posting Stories and Reels on Facebook and Instagram simultaneously for a while now using the same tool. The tech behemoth told TechCrunch that it is exclusive to iOS and excludes the European Union (EU) in its confirmation of the test.
Users will be able to share text and link postings to Threads from Facebook using this capability. For content producers who often share images or other media with text updates, this capability might make their work easier.
Facebook expanded its cross-posting capability to Instagram in 2021, with the launch of cross-posting Stories across the two networks.
In the meantime, users will be able to observe the kind of discussions that are happening on the platform thanks to a new "trending topics" feature that Meta is testing on Threads, according to CEO and founder Mark Zuckerburg.
When the test is ready, the corporation will expand its rollout to include more nations and languages, starting with the US.
"We're launching a little test of the most popular threads in the US right now. After we get it fixed up, we'll launch it in other nations and languages," Zuckerberg stated in a Threads post.

In other news, WhatsApp, the Meta-owned instant messaging platform is also working on a new feature which will stop other users from taking screenshots of your display picture, also known as the profile picture. It could be because of reducing the impersonation and giving users more privacy. The feature is currently under testing and may roll out soon.
