Microsoft, the tech giant, is having a rough start to the new year as users are reporting issues with the OneDrive cloud storage service. OneDrive is the name of the Microsoft cloud service that allows you to access all of your files. It currently has issues but allows you to securely store your files, share them with others, and more.

Users claim that when attempting to use OneDrive, they receive errors such as "Something Went Wrong" or "Sorry! An Error Has Occurred."

"We’re investigating an issue where some users may be unable to access or open files from https://msft.it/6010ecr16. For more details and further updates please see OC494006 in the Admin Center," says Microsoft 365 Status Twitter handle.

The Twitter handle also included a link that users could access to learn more about the precise issues users are experiencing.

“For the most recent update please see https://portal.office.com/servicestatus,” it said.

“We've reviewed service monitoring telemetry, and we’ve identified an error affecting an API service for OneDrive.com service which may be causing impact. We’re restarting the affected infrastructure to remediate impact,” explains Microsoft.

Notably, Skype, a popular video-calling platform is also witnessing some problems. According to reports, Users can't spend, gift, or purchase Skype credits or subscriptions, or may be charged twice.

Some Microsoft 365 user subscriptions may not be getting their free 60 minutes of Skype calling credits, said the tech giant.

“We're continuing to review mitigation options to restore credit subscriptions. While we prioritize this, Microsoft 365 users can activate their Skype subscription manually by following the activation steps on: https://www.skype.com/en/office/get-skype/,” added Microsoft.
