Microsoft Reading Coach, which is an AI-powered tool which aims to offer personalised reading practice, is now available for free for those who have a Microsoft account. The tool uses AI to offer feedback about how to improve the reading sources and even help them how to improve their pronunciation.

"In order to enable students to read at home or at school on the device of their choice, we are expanding the availability of Reading Coach beyond all expectations. It will be free for anyone with a Microsoft account to use both the Windows App and the online version," Microsoft said in a blog post on Thursday.

The AI technology will recognise terms that a reader commonly misspelt or misunderstands throughout extended reading sessions. As they advance through the training, students will also be able to select prompts that will alter a plot, according to the corporation.

In addition, the tech company stated that it is "making it easier for teachers to create Reading Coach practice assignments by adding integration with popular Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas, which will be available in late Spring 2024". In order to help customise the content, Microsoft also unveiled new tools for Teams for Education and Microsoft Reflect. Later this year, they will be readily accessible to all education consumers at no additional expense."

According to the firm, all of these tools quickly and simply create material, including assignment directions, reading passages, comprehension questions, rubrics, and more. Teams' 'Classwork' feature lets teachers create and arrange class resources including Assignments, Files, Links, Channels, Class Notebook pages, and more. It is designed to help you manage your curriculum.
