Microsoft To Bring 'Next Wave Of AI Innovation' With These Cutting-Edge Features In New Bing

IN A recent announcement, Microsoft said it will bring a wide range of changes like visual results, chat history, and plugins into AI-powered Bing. The company touts it be the "next wave" of innovation in the AI space. Alongside shattering a waitlist for access to new Bing, the company introduced and plans to introduce a host of improvements to its AI portfolio in future.

More graphics in chat results

Microsoft claims the human brain processes visual cues 60,000 times faster than text. This makes it an appealing medium to understand complex content. While Bing had Knowledge Cards for search results, the experience will now extend to chat. The AI-powered Bing will deliver more graphical output using charts, graphs and more. Additionally, enhanced formatting will help better organise answers.

Bing Image Creator now understands more languages

The Windows maker recently unveiled Bing Image Creator integration into the new Bing. The combo makes the AI model the first of its kind to generate textual and graphical content from one destination. The experience has now expanded to over 100 languages.

Additionally, Microsoft is incorporating visual search in chat allowing users to upload photos and quest on related content.

Redesigned Edge

Microsoft Edge is where one out of four Bing chats take place. As the new changes in AI-powered Bing roll out, a "sleeker and enhanced" UI that includes a streamlined look, round edges, "organised containers and semi-transparent visual elements."

Chat context and share/export functionality

Soon users will be able to continue the chat and return to previous conversations on Bing AI with the new chat history setting. Additionally, the platform is exploring routes to personalise the experience by adding context from previous chats to new answers. The export and share chat option will also debut soon. Further, the new Bing will also have better summarisation capabilities shortly.

Lastly, Microsoft added in the announcement that it would soon work to build plugins in the new Bing.
