JE Technology Desk: Windows Copilot for Microsoft Windows 11 is rolling out in the latest Preview Build of the operating system, Microsoft shared in a new blog post. The company first unveiled the software at the Build conference in May. This Dev Channel build focuses on an "integrated UI" experience, and more options will debut in the upcoming previews.

How To Use Copillot in Windows 11?

Users can click the button placed on the taskbar or press Win + C to start Windows Copilot. It will use the same Microsft account or Azure Active Directory (AAD) signed into the Windows machine.

It appears as a side bar that is "docked to the right" side, allowing users to interact with it anytime they want. Users can ask the Copilot a number of questions and command it for several tasks such as changing the UI to dark mode, switching on do not disturb, taking a screengrab, summarising website content in tabs in Microsoft Edge, writing stories and generating pictures.

Besides enjoying the new AI integrations, users can share feedback with the Windows maker to help them improve Copilot in the future. To submit feedback, users can click on the three-dot icon on the top right.

Windows Copilot along with new Bing can generate contextual responses and improve the experience of Windows for users, the company highlighted in the blog post. Microsoft will push "inline recommendations" relevant to a user through ads in its search engine.

The initial Preview Build does not support third-party plugins as of now. Features will be added to future Insider builds as the experience continues to get refined. The Redmond-headquartered giant added that the features will reach more insiders in the future.

Windows Copilot: Eligible Versions

A user must update to the Windows 23493 Preview Build or later and Microsoft Edge version 115.0.1901.150 or above to try the new Copilot Preview in the Dev Channel.
