Motorola is reportedly prepping a relaunch of its iconic Moto 360 smartwatch, originally unveiled in 2014 as one of the first Android Wear devices with a classic round display. While the company hasn’t confirmed anything yet, leaked renders of a new 2025 edition suggest a revival later this year.

Leaked Design Renders Unveil Classic Round Style

Recent images circulating online show the smartwatch with a sleek round dial, complete with a metal link band and side controls—a crown at the 2 o’clock position and a button around 4 o’clock—reminiscent of the OnePlus Watch 3. Despite earlier models like the Moto Watch Fit opting for square faces, the new render sticks to the round design that fans remember.

What We Know (and What We’re Speculating)

  • The Moto 360 (2025) is expected to arrive later this year in up to five colour options.
  • The classic round dial suggests Motorola is revisiting its design roots while modernising the look.
  • There are hints that the watch may run both Wear OS and its proprietary Moto Watch OS, offering flexibility for users and third-party developers.

A Return to Form for Motorola’s Smartwatch Line

The original Moto 360 made waves as one of the first smartwatches with true round styling back in 2014. After two generations, the line was discontinued in 2017 and later revived under license by a different manufacturer in 2019. This new model appears to be Motorola's own attempt to reclaim its name in the wearable market.

Where It Fits in Today’s Lineup

Last released in April, the Moto Watch Fit—which brought a 1.9-inch OLED display, over 100 fitness modes, an IP68-rated build, and up to 16-day battery life—was Motorola’s most recent wearable. If the Moto 360 (2025) launches soon, it’ll serve as a more premium counterpart to that square-faced model, offering a round, more traditional watch aesthetic.
