Motorola has officially confirmed that the Moto Buds 2 will launch in India on May 19. The new wireless earbuds will arrive alongside the Moto G37 and Moto G37 Power smartphones, expanding Motorola’s growing audio lineup in the country.

The Moto Buds 2 were first showcased globally during MWC 2026 in Barcelona, and now the standard version is finally making its way to India after the Moto Buds 2 Plus debuted here earlier this year.

Motorola has already teased a few details about the earbuds ahead of launch. The company says the Moto Buds 2 will use a dual-driver setup with 11mm and 6mm drivers, which should help deliver deeper bass while also keeping vocals and higher frequencies clear.

On the audio side, the earbuds are expected to bring support for the LHDC audio codec and Spatial Audio, features usually seen on more premium TWS models. Motorola is also promising up to 55 dB active noise cancellation, with the earbuds automatically adjusting ANC levels depending on surrounding noise.

There’s also a smart transparency mode, which lets outside sound pass through when needed, useful for situations like commuting or conversations without removing the earbuds.

For calls, the Moto Buds 2 come equipped with six microphones combined with environmental noise cancellation. Motorola says the setup is designed to improve voice clarity even in crowded places or windy outdoor conditions.

The earbuds also include a dedicated low-latency gaming mode, Bluetooth 6.0 support, and dual-device connectivity, allowing users to stay connected to two devices at once.

Apart from the core features, Motorola is adding several smaller extras too. Users will get wear detection, customisable touch controls, EQ settings with bass boost, voice assistant support, audio share, and even Moto AI integration. The earbuds are also rated IP54 for dust and splash resistance.

Battery life appears to be one of the major highlights here. Each earbud packs a 62mAh battery, while the charging case carries a 520mAh cell. Motorola claims users can get up to 11 hours of playback on a single charge and up to 48 hours combined with the case. Some promotional material even mentions total playback figures going beyond 50 hours.

Fast charging is supported as well, with Motorola claiming that a quick 10-minute charge can deliver up to three hours of playback.

The company has not revealed the India pricing yet. For reference, the Moto Buds 2 launched globally at GBP 70 which roughly translates to Rs 8,500, while the Moto Buds 2 Plus was introduced in India at Rs 5,999.
