Motorola Edge 70 India Launch: Motorola looks set to bring the Edge 70 to India, and if early reports are accurate, this could be one of the thinnest—and most aggressively priced—flagship contenders of the year. The phone was unveiled in select markets in November as a follow-up to the Edge 60, but the Indian version may get multiple upgrades, including a bigger battery, wireless charging, and a refreshed design that mirrors the Moto X70 Air from China.

Slimmest Motorola Yet
Mukul Sharma reports the Motorola Edge 70 will arrive in India around December 15. Its design is said to be ultra-thin, measuring 5.99 mm thick – making it comparable with the Moto X70 Air as well as competing against the Galaxy S25 Edge and iPhone Air models. Although its frame may be thin, Motorola may increase battery capacity compared to the global model to address concerns over battery life on ultra-slim phones.
Rumoured Specifications
While the company hasn’t formally confirmed hardware details, the Edge 70 is expected to run on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. Camera leaks point to a 50MP triple-lens setup on the back, retaining Motorola’s emphasis on clean colour science and stabilisation. Wireless charging is also on the table, something not every upper-midrange Android phone offers.

Expected Price
At first glance, Motorola may take a very different route in India when pricing its Edge 70 phone compared to globally; its UK price starts at EUR 700 (roughly equivalent to Rs. 80,000), while it's EUR 799 in Europe. Initial reports suggest it could launch for less than Rs 35,000, more than half its global cost tag!
Motorola would likely use this move as an opportunity to undercut rivals and attract high-end buyers into its ecosystem. In India, the price of an Edge 60 model (64GB version) is currently Rs 25,999.
The Bottom Line
The Motorola Edge 70 stands to become an unprecedented challenger to premium mid-segment phones, featuring an ultra-thin profile, upgraded battery capacity, a powerful chipset, and aggressive pricing that could force larger brands to alter their strategies. We anticipate its official launch in December; more confirmation should be available once details are finalised.
