Apple iPhone SE4 and IPad 11 Launch Update: According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is expected to unveil the new iPhone SE and iPad 11 by April 2025. While earlier reports suggested these devices would launch alongside iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3, Gurman has clarified that, although these devices are being developed with the same software updates, they might not launch at the same time. Instead, he confirmed that the devices are slated for release "before iOS 18.4," narrowing down the timeline to before the next major update.
On microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter), Gurman explained, "Yes, the new iPads and iPhone SE replacement are being developed on the iOS 18.3 train - but that doesn’t mean they launch together this month." He further added, "It means they’ll launch before iOS 18.4, by April if all goes to plan."

iPhone SE 4 Could Be Renamed
In other news, there’s speculation surrounding the iPhone SE 4, which may be rebranded as the iPhone 16E. This name change was first hinted by a Weibo user, Fixed Focus Digital, and later backed by the leaker Majin Bu on X. While these sources aren’t known for consistently accurate Apple rumors, the potential renaming would align the budget-friendly model more closely with the flagship iPhone 16 series. This rebranding would mark a departure from the traditional “SE” naming convention Apple has used for its budget iPhones.
The iPhone SE 4 is rumored to come with a major redesign, moving away from the iPhone 8-style design seen in previous models. It’s expected to adopt a more modern look, similar to the iPhone 14. Key upgrades are said to include a 6.1-inch OLED display, Face ID for authentication, and a USB-C port, replacing the Touch ID and Lightning connector of the current model.
The new device is also rumored to feature a 48-megapixel rear camera, 8GB of RAM, and the latest A-series chip to support advanced AI features. Additionally, Apple may include its first in-house designed 5G modem in the iPhone SE 4.
