Realme is adding a Harry Potter twist to one of its recent smartphones. The company is set to launch the Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition in India on September 21. The special edition follows the brand’s earlier collaborations with entertainment franchises and will come with a Hogwarts-inspired look, exclusive merchandise and a limited-edition gift box.
The launch is scheduled for 12pm IST. Realme and Flipkart have already published a microsite for the phone, which gives us a closer look at its design. The handset will be available to buy through Flipkart after the launch.
Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition Design
The Harry Potter Edition gets a brown leather-style finish on the back, along with an argyle pattern inspired by Wizards Chess. Realme has placed the Hogwarts Crest in the middle of the rear panel, while the Harry Potter branding appears underneath it.
There is also a Harry Potter reference in the camera design. The rear camera module takes inspiration from Hedwig, with the lenses designed to look like the owl’s eyes.
Realme has developed the phone in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products. This isn't the company's first themed smartphone, as it previously launched the Game of Thrones Edition of the Realme 15 Pro.
What Comes With The Special Edition?
The phone will be accompanied by a Hogwarts-themed limited-edition gift box, although only 5,000 of these boxes will be available.
The box itself is designed to look like Harry Potter’s trunk. It includes a Hogwarts Welcome Pack with several pieces of themed merchandise, including an acceptance letter, a train ticket, Hogwarts Crest bookmarks and character postcards. Buyers will also get a phone case featuring the Hogwarts logo and a phone pin.
Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition Specifications
Realme has confirmed some of the hardware details, although the complete specification sheet is still under wraps.
The phone will have an AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 6,500 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, it will use the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max chipset and pack a 7,000mAh battery. The battery supports 80W fast charging as well as reverse charging.
For cameras, Realme has opted for a 200-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera on the back. There will be a 50-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.

The regular Realme 16 Pro was launched in India in January with the Dimensity 7300 Max chipset and a 200-megapixel rear camera. The company has not confirmed whether the Harry Potter Edition will carry exactly the same hardware across the board, but the teased specifications suggest that much of the core hardware will remain unchanged.
Realme is expected to reveal the remaining details, including the price, around the September 21 launch.
