Nokia, a popular smartphone maker, has expanded its portfolio by adding a new mid-range smartphone to the global market. The company has also partnered with iFixit to outsource the parts, including battery, display, and charging ports for the next five years. With this, it has now become the company's first repairable 5G smartphone.
Nokia G42 Specifications
Nokia’s all-new mid-range smartphone is offered with a 6.56-inch HD+ display along with a refresh rate panel of 90 Hz. Under the hood, the smartphone gets a Snapdragon 480+ chipset, which comes paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The storage is expandable via a MicroSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 13, which is bloatware and ads free, and is backed by a 5000mAh battery with a fast charging support of 20W.
Further, the company claims to offer spare parts and tools so that consumers can repair display batteries and more.
The smartphone gets a side-mounted fingerprint sensor along with IP52 certifications and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Speaking of the optics, the Nokia G42 gets a triple camera setup with a 50 MP primary shooter along with a 2 MP in-depth and 2 MP macro sensor. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone gets an 8 MP primary shooter.

Nokia G42 Price, Availability
The Nokia G42 is available in two different trims with up to 6 GB RAM. The smartphone is launched at a price of $199 (Rs 16,000 approx) for the top-end 6GB model, while the company is yet to announce the price of the 4GB variant. The smartphone will be available in the US, UK, and Europe.
