After a slight detour into ambiguous product names, Nothing is getting back to something a little more descriptive. The company has now confirmed that its next flagship TWS earbuds will be called the Nothing Ear (3) after the Ear (1), Ear (2) and the confusingly numbered Nothing Ear that was launched last year.
That means the Ear (3) is technically the fourth product in the Ear range but at least the numbering puts that right for people looking to buy in.
Nothing Ear (3) Launch Date and Time
Nothing Ear (3) is set to debut on a global scale on September 18. The launch will take place at 13:00 UK time - that's:
- 14:00 CET (Central Europe)
- 5:00 AM PT (Los Angeles)
- 8:00 AM ET (New York)
- 17:30 IST (India)
Nothing hasn’t said yet whether that will be accompanied by a livestream, launch event or a straightforward online announcement.

Design Teasers
Although details of the full specs are being kept close to the chest, the company has released a series of teaser images that reveal one thing: the classic transparent design language will continue to reign. Fans of the Nothing aesthetic should be on the lookout for the Ear (3) to keep the trend going of contrasting eye-popping hardware with plain design.

What to Expect
So far, there’s been nothing leaked on what sort of audio upgrades, battery life, ANC improvements or new software features we might expect. But given that Nothing’s previous offerings, the Ear (3) will probably show up as a luxury TWS offering competing with the Apple AirPods Pro and Samsung Galaxy Buds series.
Now fans will have to keep the tinfoil hats on until September 18 when Nothing finally peeks out from behind the curtain.
