Google’s Gemini AI continues to expand its reach in India with structured subscription tiers that define exactly how much access users get. While Gemini was earlier marketed with vague labels such as “Basic Access” and “General Access”, a new update to Google’s support page reportedly reveals the specific limits for prompts, images, and other AI features across free, Pro, and Ultra plans.

Gemini AI Pricing in India

  • Google AI Pro – ₹1,950/month (free for students)
  • Google AI Ultra – ₹24,500/month (discounted at ₹12,200/month for the first three months)

Both plans also include cloud storage of up to 2TB (Pro) and 30TB (Ultra).

Daily Prompt and Image Limits

According to 9to5Google, Gemini 2.5 Pro now has clear caps:

  • Free users – 5 prompts/day
  • AI Pro subscribers – 100 prompts/day
  • AI Ultra subscribers – 500 prompts/day

For image generation:

  • Free plan – 100 images/day
  • Pro and Ultra – up to 1,000 images/day

The Gemini 2.5 Flash model, optimized for faster responses, remains available with “General Access” across all tiers.

Deep Research and Deep Think

Google has also outlined limits for advanced features:

  • Deep Research reports – 5/month (free), 20/day (Pro), 200/day (Ultra).
  • Deep Think – exclusive to Ultra, allowing 10 prompts/day with a 192,000-token context window, tailored for highly detailed tasks.

Audio, Video, and Scheduled Actions

  • Audio overviews – 20/day for all users.
  • Video generation with Veo 3 – Pro and Ultra users can create up to 3 videos/day with Veo 3 Fast (preview) and 5/day with Veo 3 (preview).
  • Scheduled Actions – Up to 10 active actions at a time, available only to paid users.

What This Means for Users

While the free Gemini tier provides a taste of Google’s AI ecosystem, the Pro plan offers 20x more access, and Ultra expands that to 100x, making it suitable for heavy AI users, researchers, and businesses. The clarity around limits should help customers better evaluate whether the ₹1,950 or ₹24,500 plans justify their investment.

India is one of the first regions to see both Gemini Pro and Ultra officially rolled out, underscoring Google’s push to scale premium AI offerings globally.
