NOTHING started its smartphone journey with the Nothing Phone (1) last year. It seems the company is preparing for its upgrade after the recent launch of Ear (2) TWS. The Nothing Phone (2) has cleared BIS Certification, according to the information posted by leakster Sudhanshu Ambhore on Twitter.
The successor to the current handset might come with a model number - AIN065, Ambhore states. Plus, he claims that it is expected to launch in India soon. The London-based company gained massive media coverage for its first phone launch. Phone (1) debuted with unique features like the Glyph Interface and wireless charging.

Though the tipster has not revealed any specifications of the handset, leaks in the past have hinted that Phone (2) will likely sport a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Plus, it is expected to launch in Q2 or Q3 of 2023, 91mobiles report.
The phone is said to come with a 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED display. It is said to come with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM, the platform expects. Speaking of battery, it might sport a 5,000mAh battery and support 67W charging this time. The handset is said to come with Nothing OS based on Android 13. Plus, it is tipped to come with a 50MP primary camera with OIS. Keeping in mind the upgrades and Nothing's track record, the Phone (2) is said to be priced on the higher side compared to its predecessor.
For background, Nothing Phone (1) came with a 6.55 inch FHD+ 120 Hz panel. It came with a transparent back design and Glyph Interface. Under the hood, it comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ and Adreno 642L GPU. The handset runs on Nothing OS and has started to receive Android 13 update.
Coming to the battery, it comes with a 4500mAh battery. Speaking of optics, it comes with a 50MP + 50MP camera on the back and 16MP front selfie shooter. As for connectivity, it comes with WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, 5G capabilities and more.
Talking of the latest launches, the company launched Nothing Ear (2) recently. The earbuds were an upgrade to the Ear (1) launched in 2021.
