NOTHING, which gained a positive reputation in the smartphone industry after presenting its Nothing Phone (1) with a distinctive design, appears to be preparing to launch the next generation Nothing Phone (2) in worldwide markets in July. This happened after Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing, detailed the main elements as well as the launch timeline in an interview with Forbes.

While Nothing has been constantly sharing the teasers of the phone on social media, the phone would first be available in the US and then will be launched in the global markets, said the report. Discussing the reason, Carl Pei said the US market is one of the most important markets for the company, as mentioned in the report.

Further, Carl Pei has also confirmed some of the key specifications of the Nothing Phone (2) which includes the battery, processor, software, and more. As per the report, Pei has also explained why the company is moving forward with the last generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. As per him, the last generation processor is a proven chipset that is capable of providing improved performance than Phone (1) and at the same time will be accessible due to the low costs.

Highlighting the developments, Pei believes that the chipset would improve the camera, performance, power efficiency, and AI departments of the upcoming Nothing Phone (2). However, he has not hinted at an exact launch time which means that Nothing fans will have to wait a bit more to see the device.

Nothing Phone (2) Specifications (Expected)

The smartphone is expected to make a debut with a 6.55-inch FHD+ OLED display along with a refresh rate panel of 120 Hz. Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset can be seen with the LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. As per the report, the smartphone would be backed by a 4700 mAh battery and will run on the Android 13-based NothingOS 1.5 skin.
