Nothing Phone 3: It's official — the Nothing Phone (3) is coming out on July 1, two years after it was first teased. The news represents a big milestone for the London tech brand, as this will be its first proper flagship since the Phone (2) landed in July 2023. Since then, the brand has filled out its lineup with mid-range devices like the Phone (2a) and Phone (3a), and ventured into budget space with its CMF sub-brand. However, until now, there has lacked a proper high-end successor from the line.
A Flagship Price Tag?
While final pricing is yet to be revealed, Nothing’s CEO Carl Pei has already hinted that the Phone (3) won’t come cheap. In a YouTube video, he suggested a price point of around £800, or approximately ₹93,000. However, if Nothing follows its past pricing strategy — where UK prices were significantly higher than Indian ones — the actual Indian price could be closer to ₹70,000.
Leaks suggest the base model might ship with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, possibly priced at around $799 globally (roughly ₹68,000).
Design Shifts and Display Upgrades
Early drawings suggest significant design overhauls may be on the cards. The hallmark Glyph lighting on the rear may be sacrificed for a dot-matrix-type rear panel, providing a sleeker appearance while still retaining Nothing's open look. The Phone (3) should also have a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness level of 3,000 nits — which could make it one of the brightest phones in its class.
Performance and Chipset
Although Nothing is positioning the Phone (3) as a flagship, reports suggest it could run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. While not the newest processor available, it still delivers top-tier performance. For some, this may seem like a bold move, especially with competitors offering the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 at similar price points — but it could help Nothing keep the cost in check.
Camera and Other Hardware Expectations
The Phone (3) is expected to include a 50MP triple-lens camera system, combining wide, ultrawide, and telephoto sensors. On the front, a 32MP selfie camera may be onboard. The new circular camera module design would mark a shift from the raised rectangular islands of earlier models.
Other possible features include an Essential Key on the side for customizable shortcuts, improved stereo speakers, and a larger battery to support high performance and brightness demands.
In Summary
The Nothing Phone (3) is officially set to launch on July 1. With a possible mix of bold design tweaks, flagship-grade specs, and a competitive price, the company appears ready to re-enter the premium smartphone race. All eyes are now on how the device will stack up — and whether it can challenge rivals like OnePlus and Samsung in a space dominated by established flagships.
