OnePlus, a popular Chinese smartphone maker, has announced a free lifetime warranty for users who are facing green line issues on their smartphone’s display panels. In the past few months, the green line issues have grown immensely and to cater to this, OnePlus became the first brand to offer a lifetime warranty under which it will be replacing the screens suffering from these issues free of cost.

A recent report from Android Authority indicates that the newly introduced warranty scheme is presently accessible in India, offering assistance to smartphone users who have been impacted by it.

What Are The Green And Pink Line Issues?

As per the latest reports, the green and pink lines appear on the screen without any physical damage automatically following a software update. OnePlus is among the brands which face these issues quite often.

"We understand that this problem has resulted in considerable inconvenience for those affected, and we deeply apologise. Upholding our steadfast dedication, we urge users to approach the nearest OnePlus service centre for device assessment, where we will facilitate complimentary screen replacement for all impacted devices. Moreover, we are extending a voucher for specific OnePlus 8 and 9 Series models, allowing users a substantial value towards upgrading to a new OnePlus device. Considering the present situation, we are introducing a lifetime screen warranty for all affected devices. We appreciate your patience and ongoing support."

OnePlus Screen Replacement: What Now?

With this announcement, OnePlus will provide free screen replacement and, for devices that have reached the end of their life cycle, a voucher that can be used to exchange their affected smartphones and purchase a new device at a discounted price from the company's official website.

Users owning OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 9 series phones are eligible for the deal, and those who choose the OnePlus 10R as their new device will receive a Rs 4,500 incentive. A OnePlus 8T owner will receive a Rs 20,000 voucher, as well as an additional Rs 4,500 bonus if they choose the OnePlus 10R, which is presently priced at Rs 34,999.
