OnePlus Watch 3 Launched: OnePlus has just dropped its latest smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch 3, and it’s turning heads with a fresh design and impressive health features. The company has added a couple of new tricks under the hood, including a dual-chipset setup and a dual OS configuration, making it a unique offering in the smartwatch market. It’s not just about the internals either—the design has been upgraded too, with a larger AMOLED display and a more durable build.
OnePlus Watch 3: Design and Durability
The OnePlus Watch 3 comes in two sleek variants: Emerald Titanium and Obsidian Titanium. The Emerald Titanium model has a stainless steel body, paired with a green fluoro rubber strap and a shiny titanium bezel. The Obsidian Titanium variant, on the other hand, goes for an all-black look with a matching black titanium bezel and strap. Both variants offer 5ATM water resistance and an IP68 dust rating, meaning they’re built to survive everything from a sweaty workout to a little splash in the pool. Plus, the watch is military-grade durable, so it can take some serious wear and tear.
The watch also features a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display, which offers up to 2200 nits of peak brightness—so it's super easy to read even in bright sunlight. And with 2.5D sapphire glass protection, it should hold up well against scratches and everyday use.
Powered Up Internals
Under the hood, OnePlus has packed a Snapdragon W5+ chip and a BES2800 chip, with 32GB of internal storage. That’s plenty of power to handle anything you throw at it, whether you're tracking your steps or switching between workout modes. Speaking of which, the Watch 3 offers 100+ workout modes, from running and walking to more specialized activities like skiing and hiking.
New Health Features for Better Monitoring
What really sets the OnePlus Watch 3 apart, though, are its new health features. The watch now includes sensors for monitoring heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and even wrist temperature. One of the new sensors is a 16-channel blood oxygen sensor, and there’s also an optical pulse oximeter for a more accurate reading of your vitals. All of these sensors give users a better overall picture of their health, whether you’re tracking your fitness or just trying to stay on top of your well-being.
In addition, OnePlus introduced a 60-second health check-in feature, which offers a quick and easy way to check your health status with a simple scan. This could be really useful for those who want a fast and convenient way to get an idea of their health at any moment.
Bigger Battery, Longer Life
Battery life has always been a concern with smartwatches, but OnePlus has stepped up its game here too. The 631 mAh battery is 26% bigger than the previous generation, and OnePlus says it can last up to 5 days on a single charge with its new smart battery mode. That’s a huge improvement over many other smartwatches, especially when you consider the advanced features packed into this device.
Pricing and Availability
The OnePlus Watch 3 is available for pre-order in the US, with sales officially starting on February 26. It’s priced at $329, which positions it as a premium smartwatch. While we don’t have an official launch date for India just yet, it's likely to arrive in the near future.
If you're looking for a smartwatch that balances cutting-edge health features with a sleek, durable design, the OnePlus Watch 3 might just be your perfect match. Whether you're a fitness enthusiast or just want a stylish device that tracks your health, this watch brings a lot to the table.
