The AI space is expanding rapidly, with each big player in this industry coming out with new features for its users. Now OpenAI has launched a feature that acts like a personalised alert service, ChatGPT Pulse. Unfortunately this feature is currently only available for ChatGPT Pro mobile subscribers and will subsequently roll out to Plus and other users as well.
This new feature called the ChatGPT Pulse is capable of producing visual cards that will showcase information personalised to cater to each individual's needs. The system will bank chat history, memory, user feedback, and if access is provided, then apps like Gmail, Calendar, etc. You will have the option to personalise it according to your own needs and select what appears and what doesn't by providing feedback directly on the visual cards.
The Pulse will go through and review your device memory, chat history and feedback every night in order to sort out what information is most important to you and provide you with personalised and custom updates the next day.
Pulse may offer timely prompts, like quick dinner ideas for the evening, or even guidance for bigger ambitions such as triathlon training.
According to OpenAI, the topics highlighted in Pulse are screened to filter out harmful or policy-violating content.

The company describes Pulse as a step toward making ChatGPT more proactive—shifting from a tool that simply responds to queries to one that anticipates needs and offers ongoing support.
For now, the feature is limited to Pro users as OpenAI tests its capabilities and gathers feedback. The phased rollout is part of a broader plan to gradually expand access and refine ChatGPT’s role as a continuous assistant.
