OPPO, a Chinese smartphone maker, has launched the OPPO A38 smartphone in India. The device has arrived in the country after launching in Malaysia and the UAE. It sits in the budget price category next to the newly launched Redmi 12 smartphone.
The OPPO A38 ships with a 50MP AI camera on the back and an OPPO Glow Design. If you are looking to buy a device with a good design and optics, here are all the details you should know about the newly launched device.
OPPO A38 Specifications
The A38 has a 6.55-inch HD+ LCD screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It has a peak brightness of up to 720 nits. It weighs 190g and is 8.18mm thick. Under the hood, the phone comes with an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 chip with a clock speed of up to 2.0 GHz and Mali G52 GPU. As for memory, the company is offering 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB EMMC5.1 storage. It runs on ColorOS 13.1. OPPO claims the device can function smoothly for up to 36 months.
The A38 has a 5000mAh battery with 33W SUPERVOOC charging. As for the optics, it comes with a 50MP primary and a 2MP mono lens. On the front, it has a 5MP selfie camera. Features in the camera UI include Night, Time-lapse, Portrait, PRO, and Sticker. It can shoot videos up to 1080p 30fps.
As for connectivity, the handset comes with Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, headphone jack and USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. The phone has a Geomagnetic, Light, Optical proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Step counter. For security, the phone offers a fingerprint reader and face recognition.

The device is available at a price of Rs 12,999 (4GB + 128GB). It is available in two colour options: Glowing Black and Glowing Gold and a single storage variant. Buyers can pre-book the device from the OPPO's official website. The shipping will start on September 13.
