Oppo F29 series launch in India: Oppo is all set to introduce its F29 5G series in India, bringing two new models—Oppo F29 5G and Oppo F29 Pro 5G. After weeks of leaks and speculations, the company has now officially confirmed the launch date, key features, and availability details. This series follows the Oppo F27 5G, which made its debut in August 2024.
Built to Last: A Focus on Durability
Oppo is emphasizing durability as a standout feature of the F29 5G series, calling the phones “durable champions.” Both models come with a 360-degree Armour Body and MIL-STD-810H-2022 military certification, ensuring resistance to tough conditions.
According to Oppo, the phones have been tested by SGS India and offer IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, meaning they are well-protected against water and dust. Some additional durability enhancements include:
-Sponge Bionic Cushioning for impact absorption.
-Raised Corner Design Cover for better drop protection.
-Lens Protection Ring to keep the camera safe from damage.
-Aerospace-grade Aluminum Alloy Internal Frame for added strength.
-Slim, Lightweight & Supports Underwater Photography
Despite its robust build, one of the phones in the series will be just 7.55mm thick and weigh 180g, making it one of the slimmest devices in its segment. Interestingly, Oppo has also confirmed that the F29 series will support underwater photography, allowing users to capture shots even in challenging conditions.
Launch Date & Availability
The Oppo F29 5G series will be launched in India on March 20 at 12 PM IST. Once available, buyers will be able to purchase the phones from Amazon, Flipkart, and Oppo’s official India e-store. Oppo has also revealed the color options for both models—
-Oppo F29 5G will come in Glacier Blue and Solid Purple.
-Oppo F29 Pro 5G will be available in Granite Black and Marble White.
Oppo F29 Pro 5G: Expected Price & Leaked Specs
According to earlier leaks, the Oppo F29 Pro 5G could be priced under ₹25,000 in India. The phone is expected to be available in 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB storage variants.
