Oppo Reno 14 India Launch: Oppo is all set to unveil its Reno 14 5G series in India on July 3 at 12 PM. The event will be streamed live on YouTube and across Oppo India’s social media platforms. After debuting in China nearly two months ago, the Reno 14 5G and Reno 14 Pro 5G are finally making their way to Indian shores. The company has already teased the devices heavily, and thanks to their Chinese launch, we already have a good idea of what to expect—from refreshed designs to AI-driven camera enhancements.

Performance and Hardware

Under the hood, the Reno 14 5G series will bring notable upgrades in performance. The base Reno 14 is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, while the more premium Reno 14 Pro will likely feature the faster Dimensity 8450. Both models are rumoured to offer up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage using UFS 3.1 tech—specs that should appeal to power users.

Display and Design

On the display side, Oppo is stepping things up with sharp OLED panels. The Reno 14 might feature a 6.59-inch flat OLED screen, while the Pro version could get a larger 6.83-inch panel. Both displays are tipped to support a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and reach a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. For added durability, Oppo is using its in-house Crystal Shield Glass.

AI Cameras Take Centre Stage

Camera upgrades are a major highlight of this series. The Reno 14 Pro is expected to come with a powerful quad-camera setup—four 50MP sensors in total. This could include a main sensor with OIS, an ultra-wide lens, a 3.5x optical zoom periscope telephoto lens, and possibly a dedicated portrait sensor. Meanwhile, the standard Reno 14 5G will reportedly sport a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto shooter. Both phones are also expected to carry 50 MP front-facing cameras for selfies and video calls.

Battery and Charging

Battery life is another area where the Reno 14 series looks promising. The standard model may house a 6,000 mAh battery with support for 80 W fast charging. The Pro variant could offer a slightly larger 6,200 mAh battery and will likely support 50 W wireless fast charging via Oppo’s AIRVOOC tech.

What About Pricing?

Official Indian pricing hasn’t been confirmed yet, but the Chinese launch gives us a ballpark figure. The Reno 14 5G starts at CNY 2,799 (around ₹33,200), while the Pro begins at CNY 3,499 (roughly ₹41,500). Given that the Reno 13 series in India was priced at ₹39,999 and ₹49,999 for the base and Pro models, respectively, it’s likely that Oppo will stick close to that range—possibly with a minor increase depending on market positioning.

Final Thoughts

With strong specs, AI-enhanced cameras, and high-capacity batteries, the Reno 14 series is shaping up to be a solid mid-premium offering. All eyes will be on Oppo tomorrow to see if the Indian versions match the expectations set by the Chinese models.
