POCO is gearing up to introduce its next affordable 5G device in India and the timing suggests the company is aiming squarely at users who want maximum features without stretching their budget. The POCO C85 5G will officially arrive on December 9 2025 at 12 PM and the launch is expected to be streamed online. The C series has always focused on packing as much value as possible into an entry level price tag and this new model appears to continue the same approach.

What has already caught attention is the design. From early images and confirmed teasers the phone strongly resembles the recently launched Redmi 15C which immediately raises questions about whether POCO is positioning this as a reworked version of the same device. The confirmed colours are Green and Purple and the layout at the back seems to share more than a passing similarity with its Redmi counterpart.
Confirmed Features Of The POCO C85 5G In India
POCO has disclosed a few important specifications ahead of launch. The C85 5G will carry a large 6000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The brand claims that the phone can push beyond two days of usage on a single charge which fits the target segment that prioritises endurance. There is also support for 10W reverse wireless charging which is unusual for this price range and adds a practical touch for topping up earphones or accessories.

The front camera sits inside a teardrop notch while the rear module holds two cameras and a flash. A 3.5mm headphone jack appears to be present which remains a consistent request from budget users who prefer wired audio flexibility.
How It Compares To The Redmi 15C 5G
The Redmi 15C 5G starts at Rs 12499 in India and it shares the same 6000mAh battery and 33W charging setup. The visual design between the two phones appears extremely close which makes the POCO C85 5G look like a rebadged variant from a distance. Details on the processor and display have not been revealed yet but the overall positioning hints that POCO might aim for a similar price bracket.
