Poco has expanded its flagship lineup with the launch of the Poco F8 series, while also confirming the global rollout roadmap for HyperOS 3. The Android 16-powered operating system, first introduced in September, already ships with the Xiaomi 17 series and now has a defined update path across Poco’s portfolio. The company has detailed which models will receive the upgrade first, and how the rollout will progress through early next year.

HyperOS 3 Update: Rollout Overview

HyperOS 3 comes preloaded on the Poco F8 Ultra and Poco F8 Pro, but the rest of Poco’s devices are scheduled to receive the update in phases. According to the company, the Poco F7 lineup and Poco X7 series will be among the earliest devices to get the upgrade, with distribution beginning in November. Additional phones across the Poco F, M and C families are set for December, while the remaining models — including tablets — will follow between December 2025 and March 2026.

What’s New in HyperOS 3

HyperOS 3 brings a refreshed interface with HyperIsland, Poco’s pill-shaped alert system inspired by Apple’s Dynamic Island. It brings contextual notifications to the forefront of the screen and adds a more fluid interaction layer to the UI.

The OS is highly focused on AI-driven features. There are new AI writing tools, smart screen recognition, and DeepThink mode to create richer content. HyperAI is able to rewrite texts in different tones and styles. AI Speech Recognition enhances the capabilities of audio recording with better clarity, real-time transcription, and auto-generated summaries.

Beyond productivity features, the new HyperOS 3 also introduces AI Dynamic Wallpapers and an AI Cinematic Lock Screen-enabling still images to come alive as motion-based visuals.

What this means for Poco users

The rollout spans multiple quarters, so users should expect staged availability based on region and carrier. Backing up data, ensuring storage headroom, and watching for OTA notifications remain key steps before installing major OS updates.
