Realme 12 Pro Series Launch Date In India: Chinese smartphone maker Realme has announced that it will launch its Realme 12 Series 5G in India on January 29, 12:00 PM. This update comes after a range of speculations that the company may refresh its number series this month as a direct rival to the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus devices.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the company shared an image of the phone in a blue shade in the hands of Bollywood actor and Realme's Brand Ambassador Shah Rukh Khan. The company is promising a periscope lens on phones for lossless zoom. Meanwhile, several leaks in the past have tipped the specifications of the handsets. Here are more details on this:

Realme 12 Pro, 12 Pro Plus Specifications (Expected)

Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ could offer a 6.7-inch FHD+ curved OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a centre-punch hole. Under the hood, the 12 Pro may run on Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and the 12 Pro+ could offer a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. The devices may run on Android 14-based custom Realme UI skin.

While both phones will likely have a 5,000mAh battery, variations in charging speeds are expected. As for the optics, the 12 Pro could have a 50MP primary + 8MP ultrawide + 32MP telephoto and 16MP selfie lens. Its bigger sibling may sport a 50MP OIS primary + 8MP ultrawide + 64MP periscope rear and 32MP selfie shooter. For security, the phones will likely boast an on-screen fingerprint sensor.

Reports tip that the Realme 12 Pro+ could debut at a higher price than its predecessor, with an expected starting price of over Rs 30,000, which might breach the Rs 35,000 mark in the case of the top model (likely 12GB + 512GB). No details about the pricing on the 12 Pro are available via leaked channels. While the 12 Pro will likely debut in Navigator Beige and Submarine Blue shades, the 12 Pro+ may arrive in Navigator Beige, Submarine Blue and Explorer Red.
