Realme 12 series seems to make India debut soon as the smartphones were spotted on e-commerce platform Flipkart. However, the Chinese smartphone maker has not listed the name of the smartphone but it is pretty much likely to be the Realme 12 series. For those unaware, the Realme 12 series will be a successor to Realme 11 series which was launched back in June 2023.
The teaser makes it quite evident that the upcoming smartphone will have a periscopic lens when it states, "Beyond 200MP, Periscope Awaits." The inclusion of a periscopic lens is a noteworthy advancement, as the Realme X3 SuperZoom, which debuted in 2020, was the previous smartphone to do so.
Realme 12 Series Variants: (Expected)
Realme 12, Realme 12 Pro, and Realme 12 Pro+ are the expected models that may be present in the Realme 12 series. The periscopic lens will not be available for the vanilla trim, according to the reports. According to the TENAA certification, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoCs will power the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+, respectively.
Realme 12 Series Specifications: (Expected)
The Realme 12 could have a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The smartphone could have a Full HD+ resolution. The top-end Realme 12 Pro+ is expected to have a 64MP periscope lens with 3x optical zoom, while the mid-range series will have a 32MP periscope camera with 2x zoom. Both models are expected to have a 50 MP primary sensor and an 8 MP ultra-wide lens.
Realme 12 Series Details:
Realme appears to be taking the competition, which includes the Redmi Note 13 Pro series and other smartphones, seriously. Just like the teased Realme 12 series, the Redmi Note 13 Pro already has a camera with a resolution of 200 MP. Furthermore, Realme will provide an exchange program. Buyers will receive a complimentary Realme Buds Air 5 worth Rs 3,699. Prospective purchasers can register their smartphones on the company's website.
