Realme 16 5G Launched In India: Realme has just dropped its latest offering in the Indian market, the Realme 16 5G, and this smartphone comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo silicon inside and sports two colour options, so without any delay let's dive into its specs and features.

On the front, the device features a 6.57-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 93 per cent screen-to-body ratio. It also supports a 3,000Hz instant touch sampling rate and can reach up to 4,200 nits of peak brightness, which should help with outdoor visibility.

Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. To manage heat, Realme has included a vapour chamber cooling system with a 6,050 mm² heat dissipation area. The device also carries an IP69 rating, offering solid resistance against dust and water.

Software Apparatus

Running on Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0 on top, the phone is confirmed to receive three major OS updates and four years of security patches. For security, it includes an in-display fingerprint sensor along with facial recognition support.

In terms of cameras, the Realme 16 5G features a dual rear setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.8) and a 2-megapixel monochrome lens. There’s also a small “selfie mirror” built into the rear camera module, allowing users to take selfies using the main camera. On the front, the device houses a 50-megapixel selfie shooter.

One of the biggest highlights here is the battery. The phone packs a massive 7,000mAh unit with 60W wired fast charging and reverse charging support. Realme claims it can handle up to 1,600 charge cycles and deliver up to 142 hours of music playback on a single charge.

For connectivity, the device supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and multiple navigation systems, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS. It measures 158.30 x 75.13 x 8.10mm and weighs around 183 grams, keeping it relatively manageable despite the large battery.

Realme 16 5G Pricing

Let’s start with the basics. The phone is priced at Rs. 31,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 33,999. The top-end 12GB + 256GB version goes up to Rs. 36,999. It comes in Air Black and Air White finishes and is currently up for pre-order via Flipkart and Realme’s official store, with sales starting April 5. As part of launch offers, buyers can opt for no-cost EMI for up to 12 months, along with either a Rs. 2,000 bank discount or a Rs. 6,000 exchange bonus.
