JE Technology Desk: Chinese smartphone maker Realme has confirmed the launch date of the Realme C53 handset in India. The phone was launched by the company in Malaysia in May. Considering the track record, we can expect a similar model to debut in the country. It is listed on Flipkart. According to the microsite, it will debut with the segment's first 108MP camera.

In the images, the device is visible in a gold variant with a dual camera setup and a third ring for the flash. It will also have a 5000mAh battery with 18W charging. The description claims it can charge up to 50 per cent in 52 minutes. The C53 will have a slim profile of 7.99mm.

At the bottom, a USB port, a bottom-firing speaker and a headphone jack are visible in the images. It will have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and volume rocker on the right of the frame. On the front, it would sport a U-shaped notch on the screen. Here is a specifications overview of the Malaysian variant of the C53.

Realme C53 Expected Specifications

The C53's Malaysia unit has a 6.74-inch 90Hz screen with a peak brightness of 560 nits. Under the hood, it may have an octa-core processor for performance. Coming to memory, it may sport up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage that would be expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card. The smartphone may run on Realme UI T edition based on Android 13.

As for the optics, it may have an 8MP front camera. The device may sport Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, a headphone jack, a USB Type-C port and a triple card slot.

Realme C53 Launch Date and Expected Price

Realme C53 could sit in the sub Rs 10,000-13,000 bracket in India. The unit could debut in two colour options: Gold and Black. It will launch on July 19, 12:00 PM.
